Jomo Kenyatta University Conferences Portal

"Discovery, transmission, preservation and enhancement of knowledge" is one mandate of JKUAT according to the Jomo Kenyatta University Act 1994. The University executes this mandate partly by organizing conferences and other scientific meetings to facilitate sharing of information and experiences.

The purpose of this conference management system is therefore to provide a portal where all conferences organized by JKUAT can be accessed. This will lead to enhanced access to scientific and technological information that will stimulate research in the areas covered leading to development.

More information is available for individual conferences below.

In terms of investment, industrialized countries spend a significant amount of GDP on funding research in universities and other dedicated institutions and centers. Kenyan research institutions face tremendous challenges of building up capacity that ensures that our industries remain competitive in the global markets, offering innovative solutions to the increasing socio-economic problems and developing efficient methods of using the depleting natural resources.
